Mobile World Congress Shanghai– VIA Technologies, Inc. and Migu Co., Ltd announced a strategic cooperation agreement focused on enabling Smart VIP Customer Experiences for the China retail market that that combine Migu Cloud and Big Data services with VIA Edge AI Facial Recognition systems. Migu is a subsidiary of China Mobile focusing on digital content broadcasting, including music, videos, reading, games, and comic books.
At Mobile World Congress Shanghai, the two companies are demonstrating their new in-store Smart VIP Customer Kiosk at the Migu booth located in Hall N5 Stand N5.ICA09 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Powered by the VIA Edge AI Smart Facial Recognition System and a high-resolution camera, the kiosk has a whitelist feature that can automatically identify a VIP customer within a range of around 1.5m, deliver a personalized greeting, and offer targeted product promotions and discounts.
With its gender/age recognition and emotion detection features and people streaming analysis platform that can be integrated into the Migu Cloud, the kiosk also enables retailers to enhance customer engagement and boost efficiency by tracking in-store footfall, monitoring people’s responses to displays and promotions, and inviting shoppers to join VIP loyalty programs.
