ATTEND’s 9.9mm socket series 119A expands the range of popular mini PCI express module accessories. Choose one of three possible versions considering the price, labour intensity and space demands.
The MiniPCIe form factor remains popular, which can be seen by customers’ interest in modules and sockets, as well as manufacturers’ efforts to offer attractive modules and suitable accessories.
The examples of such modules are the 4G module EG-25G from Quectel or the Wi-Fi module WizFi630S from Wiznet. For SOS electronic, ATTEND, a Taiwanese manufacturer is the leading and reliable supplier of sockets for MiniPCIe modules.
Until now, the 119A series for mini PCI express modules have been available in five sizes (total height over PCB) – 4mm, 5.6mm, 7mm, 8mm and 9.2mm. Now they have added size 9.9mm.
They are always two-piece sockets. The connector itself and the latch, which prevents releasing the module and ensures the correct distance above the base plate.
There are 3 versions of the latches:
- Two SMD nuts and two screws – the cheapest and the smallest solution, however, with the longest-lasting assembly.
- Two-piece SMD latches – the most expensive, but the most reasonable compromise between space requirements and ease of assembly
- One-piece SMD latch („One-click assembly“) – requires the most space, has the fastest assembly, and it is a bit cheaper than the two-piece solution.
Each solution is suitable for a different application by taking various requirements into account – price, labour intensity, space demands. In order to choose the best solution, we sell all parts separately including the paired components as singles (e.g. screws, nuts).
