It’s not a new phenomenon that industrial devices are shrinking in size while the functional demands of the electrical interfaces are expanding. What’s new is the range of performance with M12 connectors. Traditional cables and connectors used to power a device typically were bulky or large circulars. Now, the compact M12 form factor is ready for power applications. Traditional M12 sensor connectors provided current up to 4 amps maximum, but with the newly designed M12 power, current up to 16 amps is achievable.
A complete range of cable assemblies, field-wired connectors, and panel-mounted receptacles provide a quick disconnect system for plug-n-play power.
