The best thing since sliced LED

The Cube:Bit is the latest Micro:Bit based slice of awesomeness from 4tronix. Each cube grid (3×3, 4×4 or 5×5) consists of neopixel LEDs on both sides and can be programmed to produce stunning lighting and visual effects. The cubes are modular so twinkly towers can be constructed! Assemble the cubes using just a screwdriver in order to learn about coordinates in 2D and 3D, indications for sensory events and decorative lighting. A Cube:Bit base is available separately to provide power, but is not essential. Cube:Bit can be programmed via Micro:Bit, Raspberry Pi or Arduino.

A special Makecode package is available that can map from X, Y, Z co-ordinates directly to a pixel anywhere in the cube. You can write to a whole plane of pixels at once, creating a moving rainbow effect in only a few lines.
