Added space to house over 1M different parts – widest available stocks of Texas Instruments ICs
Mouser has announced a further expansion of its Texas HQ and warehouse in support of business which is currently expanding at an incredible rate of over 40% globally. Ground will soon be broken on an extra 125,000 ft² (11,600m²) warehouse extension; this follows on from a significant previous building program which was completed only two years ago.
Explains Mark Burr-Lonnon, Senior Vice President, Global Service & EMEA & APAC: “We are starting to view the building works as a continuous process. To support the growth that we have been experiencing for a long time – don’t forget, 2017 was a record year for us, and the previous years had also been records – we must have freely-available stock: that’s our business model. We are committed to holding over one million different parts in stock by the end of 2018. Stock requires space, so we’ll just keep adding – luckily there’s plenty of room in Texas.”

l TMS320C6748 fixed- and floating-point DSP is a low-power applications processor based on a TI C674x DSP core with a two-level cache-based architecture. The device enables design engineers to quickly bring to market devices with robust operating systems, rich user interfaces, and high processor performance.
For statistics fans, some other numbers may be illuminating. The company shipped 4.7 billion pieces in 2017. An average of more than 16,000 orders are fulfilled each day, with approximately 60,000 different items being picked each day.14 orders are processed per minute through automated shipping.
