W3150A+ is a hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller that enables easier Internet connection for embedded systems.
W5100 is one of the most popular Ethernet controller chips from WIZnet. It is used mainly for connecting IoT devices to the Internet. W5100 has embedded Ethernet PHY and can handle plenty of internet protocols.
The W5500 chip is a hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller that enables easier Internet connection for embedded systems using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface).
W5500 is convenient for users who need a stable Internet connection, using a single chip to implement TCP/IP Stack, 10/100 Ethernet MAC and PHY. Hardwired TCP/IP stack supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE, which has been proven through various applications over many years.
W5500 uses 32Kbytes internal buffer as its data communication memory. By using W5500, users can implement the Ethernet application they need by using a simple socket program instead of handling a complex Ethernet protocol.
It is possible to use 8 independent hardware sockets simultaneously. SPI is provided for easy integration with the external MCU. In order to reduce power consumption of the system, W5500 provides WOL (Wake on LAN) and a power down mode.
W5100S is an embedded Ethernet controller designed as a full hardwired TCP / IP with WIZnet technology.
W5100S provides Internet connectivity to your embedded system by using SPI or Parallel System BUS.
SPI and Parallel System BUS provide easy connection via external MCU to W5100S.The clock speed of W5100S SPI supports up to 70MHz and the Parallel System Bus supports higher speed network communication than SPI. Since W5100S integrates the Hardwired TCP/IP stack with 10/100 Ethernet MAC and PHY, it is truly a one-chip solution for the stable Internet connectivity.
W6100 is a hardwired Internet controller chip supporting IPv4/IPv6 dual stack by adding IPv6 functions on the basis of WIZnet’s patented hardwired TCP/IP core technology.
W6100 supports TCP/IP protocols such as TCP, UDP, IPv6, IPv4, ICMPv6, ICMPv4, IGMP, ARP and PPPoE. It also includes 10Base-T / 10Base-Te / 100Base-TX Ethernet PHY and Ethernet MAC Controller which makes it suitable for embedded Internet-enabled devices. W6100 has 8 independent hardwired sockets and supports various socket-less commands, which are for IPv6 auto-configuration, monitoring, and managing the network via ARP, PINGv4, and PINGv6.
W6100 supports two kinds of HOST interfaces: SPI and parallel system BUS. It has 32KB internal memory for sending and receiving data. It was designed for low power and low heat. W6100 provides WOL (Wake On LAN), Ethernet PHY power down mode and etc.
